India: Janta Curfew on Sunday, March 22

Coronavirus Mar 21, 2020

We hope you all are ready with your stainless steel thalis and spoons to cheer the Superheros without capes going to their duties to save the world.

PM Narendra Modi announced a "Janta Curfew" to take place on Sunday, March 22, from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm. He appealed to everyone to stay at home during this curfew. Only those associated with emergency & essential services will leave home.

PM Modi also requested all to express their thanks and gratitude to those serving to keep the country running, like doctors, nurses, Police, and others by going out on their balconies or standing at their doors at 5 pm and cheering, banging plates, clapping or ringing bells.

The Janta Curfew will help control the transmission of the virus & it will also prepare us for the nationwide shutdown in case we, unfortunately, experience Stage 3 of the pandemic.
